A Crowd is place where change leaders can launch initiatives to make change happen - including Pulse surveys, traditional surveys, continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, and innovation challenges. Each of these can be launched and managed from tge Crowd Profile page.

Below is an example of a Crowd Profile page. This example has all features switched on. The Image is numbered, with corresponding explanations underneath. These explanations are ordered according to how they are displayed on the Edit Crowd Layout page, which can be accessed from the ellipses on the Crowd Profile page.

  1. Crowd Image. This is where you can upload an image to make your Crowd pop. You should upload something that is eye-catching and relates to the Crowd. The image ratio is 4:1

  2. Assessment guide - This element of the page tells users how the ideas they submit would be assessed. This is optional, and there are 3 things to consider when implementing this;

    1. Show Assessment Guide Link - determines whether or not this link is shown

    2. Assessment Guide Link Text - The wording of this link

    3. Assessment Guide Intro Text - A quick into to the assessment criteria.

The link, when set up, shows the model below

  3. The description of the Crowd. This should include the main goal or purpose of the Crowd. This text box includes rich text, to make this as engaging as possible

  4. Video - A video can also make your content more engaging. A video can often give more context for a Crowd, or could be a bespoke message for the Crowd. You simply need to provide a URL including the iframe.

  5. Articles - You can choose to include an Articles panel on your Crowd. These can simply be to provide context, or they could include similar success stories. Once the panel is added, you can click the Maintain button on the profile page to add new articles

  6. You can also choose to include the Top Panel. This panel shows recently added ideas, the most liked and highest-rated ideas in a Crowd

Launcing and Managing Initiatives (Crowd Owners)

Pulse Surveys: To launch and manage Pulse surveys for your Crowd, you'll first need to have some Pulse Questions that you can use. To find out how to create new Pulse Questions, read the following article.

When you have some Pulse Questions available, choose the 'Pulse Schedules' option from the ellipses menu on the Crowd Profile page.

The following page will be displayed that shows all of the Pulse Questions that have been associated with your Crowd. The tabbed area also enables the list to be filtered by:

Live: Pulse questions that are currently 'live' in the Crowd. The order that teh questions are displayed in the list represents the order that they will be displayed to people responding to the Survey.

Scheduled: Pulse questions that are scheduled for a future date/time in the Crowd. As soon as that date/time arrives, the questions will change to 'Live'.

Previously Scheduled: Pulse Questions that have been live in the past.

To create a new schedule for a question in your Crowd, refer to the following article.

Traditional Surveys: To launch and manage traditional surveys for your Crowd, you'll first need one or more survey templates for your Crowd. To view and create new survey templates, choose the 'Survey Templates' option from the ellipses menu on the Crowd Profile page.

For help on creating Survey templates, refer to the following article.

For help on launching new surveys to your Crowd (and beyond your Crowd if required) using survey templates, refer to the following article.

CI Initiatives and Innovation Challenges : The Settings of your Crowd will determine what 'activities' it is being used for, and therefore the 'labels' used to describe those activities. For example, Ideas that are submitted into Challenges, or Proposals that are submitted into CI Initiatives.

To create a new activity (for example, a new Challenge called "Reduce the Cost of Screen Production by 20%") scroll down to the Challenges in this Crowd section, and tap the 'Add Challenge' button. (Note, your button may have a different name depending on the label it has been given).
