Everything in smartcrowds is about making positive change happen in the organisation - and smartcrowds surveys are no different!

Every survey that is issued to people provides the ability for the survey owner to record 'findings' from the responses to each question (what do the responses tell us?), add 'plans' of action (what are we going to do about it?), assign specific actions to people to make the plan happen, and record and share outcomes that describe the positive change that has happened as a result.

The first step to making change happen from smartcrowds surveys is to analyse the survey results - in other words that responses that have been received.

Finding your Survey Results

To see the results of a survey, you'll first need to find the survey Item that you created for it. If your created the survey, you'll find it in your My Activity -> Submissions menu, If it was created by someone else, you'll find it in your Feed, or in the relevant survey Crowd: Browse -> My Crowds (it will be inside a specific Group in the Crowd).

Once you've found it, tap on the Reviews/Surveys tab (see below) where you'll find a list of each issue of the Survey (since you can send the survey as many times as you wish - for example to get quarterly feedback on a topic).

You'll also see a quick summary of the score from the survey if it was created with scoring questions.

Tap the ellipses (...) menu for the entry that you want to look at, and choose the View Review/Survey Results menu option.

The Survey results page will be displayed, showing summarised results for each question.

To look at the individual responses for each question, just tap on the question, and you'll see a page similar to the example below where, depending on the settings of your survey, you'll find the name of the person who responded (or Anonymous if the survey was set up to record anonymous responses), any text or options that the person provided, and where appropriate a sentiment score provided by Microsoft AI services.

Depending on settings, you might also find some key word and key phrase analysis highlighted in yellow - based on the words and phrases most frequently used in the responses.

Recording your Findings

The foundation for making change happen is to record your Findings (in smartcrowds we call them Assessments) from the provided responses. You can add as many Assessments as you want to each question - just tap the Add a new Assessment button to get started.

You'll need to tag your assessment to help with survey reporting (a list of Tags will be provided which will have been set up by your Crowd Owner), and add a Title and Description that best represents what you have found, after reading the responses.

When you've finished, tap the Save button.

When you've added your Assessment, it will turn green and you'll then be able to add a Plan of Action. This is great way of setting out what you are going to do, as an organisation, to address your finding.

To add a Plan, tap the Expand button. You'll need to tag your Plan (again, using a list of Tags that are provided), and give it a Title, Description, and a target Start Date and End Date. Tap the Save button when you're happy with what you've written.

Editing your Assessments and Plans

If you need to make a change to any of your Assessments or Plans, just type over what you've already added, and tap the Save button to make the change. You can also delete anything you have added by choosing the Delete option from the ellipses menu (...).
