Measures throughout smartcrowds help to evaluate, tag, and report on activity within the platform. They exist on Assessments, Plans, and Outcomes, and must be selected to save any of these elements.
Configuring all measures can be done through the Crowd Profile page ellipses. These being a Crowd setting means all ideas in the Crowd (regardless of Group) will have the same set of meausres. Get in touch with our team if you are struggling to decide what criteria will work for you. Assessment and Outcome measures are on the same page, and Plan measures are on a separate page
Assessment Measures - Assessment measures represent the criteria against which ideas will be measured. There are 3 configurable 'Levels', and a score assigned to levels 2 and 3. The scores mean that as ideas are assessed, certain ideas will naturally become clear top contenders. Assessment measures allow for consistency in evaluating ideas, making it easier to identify the ideas that should be prioritised. Below is an example of 3 Level-configured assessment measures. You will also see that the 'Copy' function allows you to copy Levels 2 and 3 to other Level 1 measurements for time saving. Note - this will copy both the level 2 and its related level 3
Configuring Assessment measures is very simple. Firstly, you will need to add the 'level 1' assessments by clicking 'Add Assessment Measures' and entering the title, image if appropriate (this will only show on the Assessment Guide Link on the Crowd profile page), and a colour. You will also notice a 'Next plan' field. This relates to our Workflows, which are most useful when there is a defined innovation process, we can help you configure this in the best way, so contact us if you are interested.
Levels 2 and 3 should be added from the previous measure level.
Plan Measures - Plan measures function as tags for Plans and help to categorise the set of activities that need to be performed. There are not multiple levels to Plan Measures, making them even quicker to set up. All you have to do is click 'Add Plan Measure, enter the Display Name, Short Name, Colour and whether the measure relates to Exploration or Implementation and click Save
Outcome Measures - Outcome measures are here to indicate how a plan went, and ultimately, what the result of the plan means for the Idea. These measures are similar in set up to Assessment measures, and come in three levels. Their set up is the same format as the two sets above, with lower levels having to be set from higher levels.
Again, you will notice Parent and Next Plan Meausre fields. These also relate to our Workflow feature, so get in touch if you think this will be required for your organisation.
