smartcrowds is all about collaboration, we all need to work together to find solutions to these new challenges. You should have a look at the ideas your colleagues are suggesting too, it may even spark another idea!

There are lots of ways to see the ideas and other submissions that people have added to your organisation's smartcrowds platform.

Browsing Ideas from the Activity Feed

You can find out everthing that's going on across all Crowds by choose the Feed option from the main menu. If you choose the Items option form this menu, you'll go straight to the Feed page showing all items (ideas, proposals etc) that your colleagues have submitted.

You can also choose to browse the Assessments that have be added for these items, the Plans or Actions that are underway to progress them, or any Outcomes that have been recorded (these are often the achievements that your company is making).

Browsing Ideas in a Challenge

Normally, ideas will be associated with specific Challenges, or Campaigns, or another collection that your organisation has decided to use (we'll call them Challenges in this guide).

To view all ideas that have been added to a Challenge, click on the green button on the top right of your screen under your profile photo > select the challenge you wish to browse > click 'Browse X Ideas in this Challenge' just under the Challenge description;

This will lead you to a full list of the ideas within your selected challenge, along with a range of filters at the top of the page to help you find what you're looking for.

Once you select the one, you will be brought to the Idea details page, which displays all of the detail that has been recorded against the Idea, including a description and any accompanying links or documents.

From here, you can interact with ideas that others have submitted, and receive feedback on the ideas you have. Below are all the ways with which ideas can be interacted:

  1. The top panel of a submission allows you to follow it (see our article on Following here), like, if your company settings allow for it - dislike, and star rate that submission. This panel will also show how many likes/dislikes an idea has, and the average star-rating

  2. Comments can be added to an idea, where users can either leave their opinion, provide some additional information or respond to any questions. Using the @mention function allows you to draw an idea to the attention or ask a question of a particular user

  3. A thread can be created, as with most social media platforms, by liking or replying to a comment

If anyone reacts to any of your ideas by rating, commenting or liking, you will be notified by email, and in the Notification centre at the top right hand side of your page
